Image Wisely releases 3rd safety case

The Image Wisely campaign has launched its third radiation safety case, this time on CT brain perfusion dose optimization.

The case presents strategies to optimize radiation dose in CT brain perfusion exams, primary author Lifeng Yu, PhD, said in a statement. Developed with the assistance of the American College of Radiology, the latest case is part of the Image Wisely initiative's series of free, online, mobile-compatible educational offerings for radiologists, imaging technologists, and medical physicists to assess their understanding of radiation safety concepts.

The CT Brain Perfusion Dose Optimization case offers a total of 0.5 American Medical Association (AMA) Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) category 1 credits, 0.5 Medical Physics Continuing Education Credits (MPCEC), and 0.5 American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) category A credits.
