CardioMag taps president

Magnetocardiography (MCG) developer CardioMag Imaging (CMI) has hired Michael Lahoud as its president.

Lahoud comes to CMI from Canadian magnetoencephalography developer VSM MedTech of Vancouver, where he was responsible for operations, development, engineering, and manufacturing. Lahoud will guide CMI into its next phase of growth, initially through clinical data collection and pursuit of insurance company reimbursement for CMI's functional cardiac diagnostic system.

CMI's magnetocardiograph (MCG) technology records magnetic fields associated with the electrical activity of the heart, which the Schenectady, NY-based company believes can help detect coronary artery disease at early stages.
