ACR elects Pressman as new president

The American College of Radiology (ACR) of Reston, VA, has elected Dr. Barry Pressman of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles as president.

Pressman is a member of the ACR Board of Chancellors, chair of the ACR's Web site advisory committee, and a former chair of the ACR's communications commission. He is also past president of the California Radiological Society and the Western Neuroradiological Society.

Other new ACR officers include:

  • ACR vice president -- Dr. Jeffrey C. Weinreb of Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale University, both in New Haven, CT
  • ACR speaker -- Dr. David C. Kushner of Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and Eastern Virginia Medical Center, both in Norfolk, VA
  • ACR vice speaker -- Dr. Alan D. Kaye of Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT, and Yale-New Haven Hospital.

ACR members elected the new officials at the society's Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference (AMCLC) in Washington, DC, this week.
