Rad Technology Medical Systems unveiled its Healing Portals images at the annual American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Diego.
Healing Portals are photographic images that are installed on radiotherapy treatment room vault doors. The images turn the radiotherapy doors into a work of art, providing patients with something beautiful or interesting to view, the company said. The images are designed to promote serenity and a healing environment, according to Rad Technology.
The first Healing Portals have been installed at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
