The ASTRO Fellows designation is meant to honor individuals who have added significantly to the field of radiation oncology in the areas of research, education, patient care or service, and leadership, according to the society. The new fellows will be recognized at an awards ceremony at ASTRO's annual meeting in September in Boston. Including the 10 new fellows, ASTRO has awarded 269 members with the ASTRO Fellow designation since its inception in 2006.
