Richardson Electronics to acquire IMES

Richardson Electronics has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of International Medical Equipment and Service (IMES).

IMES provides CT and MRI equipment, replacement parts, technician training, and related services. The company's core operations will remain in South Carolina.

IMES would be the first acquisition by Richardson Healthcare, which Richardson Electronics created last year to market components and replacement parts for the diagnostic imaging market.
