Lantheus restructures executive team

Contrast agent developer Lantheus Medical Imaging has retooled its executive suite, bringing on a new chief commercial officer and reshuffling roles for two other executives.

Mary Anne Heino has been appointed as the firm's new chief commercial officer, with responsibility for global sales and marketing. She comes to Lantheus from Angelini Labopharm, an international pharmaceutical joint venture, and also served at Centocor and Janssen Pharmaceutica during an 18-year tenure with the Johnson & Johnson family of companies.

Heino replaces Cyrille Villeneuve, who will move to the role of vice president, international, to focus on growing the company's international business. The previous executive in that role, Mike Heslop, will become the firm's new vice president of business development and strategic planning, with a focus on leading strategic partnerships, including for Lantheus' most advanced clinical candidate, the radiopharmaceutical flurpiridaz F-18.
