The 12 systems included eight DRX-1 systems installed into existing equipment in the facility's emergency department (ED) and radiology department, and three DRX-Mobile retrofit kits to upgrade existing portable x-ray units used for patient bedside imaging in the operating room, intensive care unit, and ED, according to the vendor.
In addition, the hospital is also installing a fully automated DRX-Evolution system at its new outpatient center in Plainfield, Carestream said. All 12 systems are equipped with Carestream's DRX-1C cesium iodide detectors.
