PowerLook AMP allows radiologists to customize their CAD software to meet the needs of their individual work environment, according to the vendor. It expands upon the company's SecondLook platform and will be the CAD platform upon which all future breast imaging CAD offerings from the company will be built, iCAD said.

PowerLook AMP's CAD metrics provide tissue and lesion characteristics and integrate with Matakina International's Volpara volumetric breast density assessment software. Its modular design allows radiologists to choose the products and functionality they need today and in the future, according to the company.

iCAD has included a multivendor CAD server with PowerLook AMP, allowing hospitals and imaging facilities to connect up to four mammography acquisition devices. PowerLook AMP also includes a DICOM connectivity package to provide universal compatibility with PACS and review workstations. The company said it expects to release additional modules for PowerLook AMP in the future.
