Misonix reports Q3 revenue increases
May 9, 2012 -- Ultrasound technology developer Misonix reported revenue increases in its third quarter due to increased sales of its SonaStar ultrasonic surgical aspirator and BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone cutter.

Sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2012 (end-March 31) increased 14.5% to $3.6 million, compared with $3.1 million in the comparable quarter of 2011. For the nine-month period, Misonix's revenues increased to $10.4 million, up 20.6% compared to $8.6 million for the same period last year.
Net loss for the quarter improved to $215,000, compared with a $531,000 net loss in the third quarter of 2011. For the nine months, Misonix reported a net loss of $78,000, compared with a net loss of $2.1 million in 2011.
