Alexander Kuta, PhD, has been hired as vice president of global regulatory affairs, and the company has named Nigel Williams to the newly created position of vice president of quality.

Kuta most recently served as vice president of regulatory affairs and quality assurance for Amag Pharmaceuticals. His more than 20 years of experience in regulatory affairs and drug development includes stints at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Genzyme.

Williams most recently served as head of quality for Merck Chemicals Operations and as vice president of quality management at EMD Millipore.
