  • Artis can be used to cross-calibrate hydrophones, determine hydrophone and transducer directivity, and function as a high-resolution device for analyzing the acoustic properties of various materials used in both the design and development of ultrasound probes, according to the firm. In addition, Artis can be utilized to characterize a range of through-transmission materials, such as acoustic gel.

Acertara unveiled Artis at last week's annual meeting of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) in Phoenix.
