The new version features extended battery life, a more intuitive user interface, and enhanced reporting capabilities, according to the vendor. Users can now have up to 50% more scan time compared to Vscan version 1.1, GE said.
Fingertip control and faster workflow have been incorporated into the user interface, and contrast resolution enhancements allow for improved images of abdominal and obstetric presets, GE said. In gateway software improvements, images can now be linked to patient data with a new PDF export option.
Vscan now comes with a three-year warranty as standard, and a new Web portal includes an enhanced activation process. GE has also expanded its online educational resources and image libraries.
Vscan 1.2 is now available in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
