Nuance elected to exit the clinical decision-support business to focus on its speech recognition and Clinical Language Understanding technology, said Barbara Dumery, director of diagnostic solutions marketing. Industry standardization to the American College of Radiology's (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria also played a role in the decision.

Existing RadPort customers will continue to be supported for the term of their contract, Dumery said. RadPort sales ended in May.
