Core Sound gets Dallas install

  • SOTX is using Studycast to replace its previous image transfer system, in which ultrasound exams were burned on CDs or DVDs that were then delivered by courier to cardiologists for interpretation. With this method, it would take up to a week for referring physicians to get their images.

    With Studycast, images are uploaded from mobile ultrasound systems to a cloud-based archive. Cardiologists can access the archive via a secure link from their computers, interpret the ultrasound exams, and return final reports through secure emails.

    Reports are now returned within several hours, according to the company.
