Centegra's two hospitals and clinics generate approximately 233,000 diagnostic images each year, and the hospital system wanted to consolidate its existing PACS for cardiology and radiology. With the addition of the UCA service, Centegra will store images on a long-term basis in the Dell cloud clinical archive, while maintaining five years worth of images onsite.
Centegra has outsourced IT services from Dell since 2008. The company provides application, infrastructure, and project management; data center hosting and service desk capabilities; and healthcare consulting services, when needed.
The Dell clinical archive now manages more than 78 million clinical studies and supports more than 800 clinical sites, according to the company.
