The acquisition builds upon Eczacıbaşı-Monrol's plan to expand its global portfolio of products. In August 2011, the company acquired Mol-Image, which develops equipment for nuclear medicine, chemicals, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation protection products. These products will be transferred from Mol-Image to Capintec and will be marketed in Turkey, Europe, and as yet unspecified other global markets, according to the company.
