Available for download at MITA's website, the educational and informational kits are organized into three sections: tools designed for use by physicians administering PET scans, including case studies, imaging guidelines, algorithms, and reimbursement information; materials that can be distributed to and used by referring physicians; and educational material for use with patients.
The first three DETAIL kits available for download include a referral education kit for cardiac PET, a referral education kit for oncologic PET, and an interpretation resource kit for oncologic PET. Future additional kits are planned, MITA said.
