  • The deal is worth $1.3 billion AUD ($1.3 billion U.S.) and represents a partnership between the Western Australian Department of Health and services company Serco; Serco has subcontracted with Siemens to provide managed equipment services for the new Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth.

Siemens will provide services to manage procurement, installation, maintenance, and regular system replacements of diagnostic and treatment equipment for the next 15 years. The agreement involves a capital investment of $100 million AUD ($100.3 million U.S.) and includes approximately 6,000 items from CT scanners to monitoring equipment, according to Siemens.

This is the largest deal that Siemens Healthcare has ever won in Australia, the company said.
