The Freedom Edition uses three tools to address challenges in traditional cardiac CT:

• Motion Freedom, with motion correction via GE's SnapShot Freeze technology
• Calcium Freedom, with enhanced coronary visualization using GE's Gemstone Spectral Imaging (GSI) Cardiac tool
• Horizon Free, which includes plaque material composition assessment and information for accurate perfusion calculations

The system's first U.S. installation at the University of Washington followed approximately two dozen installations in Europe and Japan, where physicians are currently using SnapShot Freeze and GSI Cardiac for coronary evaluation.
