The Chengdu facility will combine research and development with marketing to focus on local healthcare in the development of medical devices, as well as technology for shale gas drilling, industrial automation, and green energy.
According to GE, $80 million has been invested so far in the construction, recruitment, and operation of the new project, which includes 33,500 square meters of office space, more than 30 laboratories, and more than 500 employees.
