  • Patent No. 8,478,610 covers the use of QC dashboards and scheduled QC tests to manage the QC process in diagnostic imaging centers for mammography, full-field digital mammography (FFDM), MRI, x-ray, and ultrasound systems and related peripheral devices, according to Atirix.

The second patent, No. 8,428,969, covers a computer-based process of performing QC, such as required by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), in breast imaging centers on mammography, FFDM, MRI, x-ray, and ultrasound systems. The covered process includes completing preprogrammed test worksheets based on a schedule, storing QC data in a database, and generating QC reports for audits, the company said.

Both awards are based on a provisional patent application the company filed on January 19, 2005, Atirix said.
