The initiative has received a four-year, $2.5 million grant from the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Cancer Institute.

The goal of the partnership is to develop a marketable product for virtual clinical trials to test new technology sooner and accelerate product development, which ultimately could lead to enhanced imaging systems.
