Agfa nets Premier contract

November 25, 2007 -- Agfa HealthCare announced it has been awarded a three-year, multisource contract with healthcare purchasing organization Premier Purchasing Partners of Charlotte, NC, to provide enterprise image management solutions (EIMS) and services to more than 1,500 member hospitals and 49,000 other healthcare sites.

Agfa's EIMS is designed to permit simultaneous sharing of information, and is based on its Impax Data Center, which offers multimedia storage and distribution across the enterprise. Its Impax RIS and PACS will also be available to Premiere members under the contract, according to the Morsel, Belgium-based company.
