Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, is showing three new printers at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The DryView 6850 laser imager is designed for high-quality, high-volume printing to medical diagnostic film. It outputs up to 200 prints an hour to film at a resolution of 650 pixels per inch. Its high-resolution output meets the requirements for digital mammography and traditional modalities, such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, computed radiography (CR), and digital radiography (DR), according to the company. The DryView 6850 is designed for department-wide applications and offers several options, including a film sorter.
The tabletop DryView 5700 laser imager is designed for affordable high-quality film output. It delivers desktop output of CR, DR, MRI, and CT exams onto medical film. The compact imager combines high quality and reliability with low operating costs, according to Carestream.
Carestream is also unveiling the work-in-progress DryView Chroma imager, which reproduces color or grayscale images and medical documents onto paper or film. The imager will enable printing of high-quality, low-cost grayscale and color images from various modalities, including CT, CT/PET, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CR, DR, and radiation therapy planning, to paper or medical film. When available, it will be able to be linked to PACS and image-enabled electronic medical record (EMR) systems, the company said.
