Mindray debuts ultrasound system

Mindray DS USA of Mahwah, NJ, has launched its new premium M7 ultrasound system in the U.S.

The M7 platform is based on System On Chip (SOC) technology to enhance imaging performance in the compact portable system.

The M7 features include octal-beam imaging technology for temporal resolution and multiple tissue harmonic imaging technologies to improve image quality for technically difficult patients.

Mindray also has introduced an upgrade for its M5 system. The new 3.0 release features full DICOM capability, networking, worklist, query and retrieve, and structured reporting.

The upgrade includes automatic measurement of carotid intima-media thickness and wireless data transfer, but both features are pending regulatory clearance.

Mindray DS USA is a subsidiary of Chinese medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International of Shenzhen.
