M*Modal to show new products at SIIM

Speech recognition firm M*Modal of Pittsburgh plans to introduce several new technologies at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Minneapolis.

CDA Content Server is a new healthcare search technology that creates and indexes semantically interoperable, semistructured data from flat-text documents, or from existing Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents that M*Modal business partners are already creating today. This new service enables applications such as advanced medical record search, compliance reporting, and clinical decision support and outcome analysis.

M*Modal will also demonstrate the interoperability between its technology and the iSite PACS software from Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, via integration developed in cooperation with Poiesis Informatics of Pittsburgh.

M*Modal will also show work with TeraRecon of San Mateo, CA, in integrating M*Modal's Annotation Image Markup (AIM) and Conversational Documentation Services (CDS) technology into TeraRecon's Aquarius iNtuition advanced visualization software.
