Nuance to tout reporting tools at RSNA

Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications will be showing upgrades to its Closed-Loop Radiology Reporting and Communication software suite at the 2009 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

The Burlington, MA-based vendor will be presenting version 2.0 of its RadPort decision support system, as well as the latest iteration of its PowerScribe speech recognition application. PowerScribe 5.0 features a higher level of accuracy, an updated speech engine, architecture enhancements, an improved user interface, and reporting workflow system enhancements, according to Nuance.

In other software releases, version 3.0 of Nuance's RadWhere speech recognition reporting package includes workflow management capabilities, support for multiple RIS and PACS, peer review, data capture and extraction, structured reporting tools, and custom workflows, Nuance said.

Nuance will also direct attention to version 4.0 of its Veriphy critical test results management software and version 1.5 of its RadCube radiology data mining and outcomes analysis offering.
