Binovia introduces bITomed training service

Informatics and biomedical services firm Binovia has launched a new training service designed to help hospitals and outpatient healthcare facilities cross-train technicians in biomedical engineering and information technology.

The Omaha, NE, company's bITomed courses are designed to introduce biomedical service technicians, biomedical engineering department managers, and biomedical help desk personnel to the components of healthcare information systems and how they work.

The courses focus on utilization of healthcare information technology with biomedical equipment, methods to optimize clinical data flow and workflow of biomedical equipment, and troubleshooting connectivity issues between biomedical equipment and hospital information systems. They include practical hands-on workshops as well as theoretic training.

The bITomed courses represent the commercialization of the two- to three-day intensive training provided to Binovia service technicians, and they are offered in virtual Web and audioconferencing formats.
