PACS vendor CoActiv Medical Business Solutions of Ridgefield, CT, will introduce Exam-Link, an image sharing platform targeted at regional health information organizations (RHIOs), at the 2010 RSNA meeting.
Exam-Link supplies RHIOs and affiliated medical facilities with immediate access to all patient exams, wherever and whenever the exam was performed. With Exam-Link, an ER physician in California can gain immediate access to a patient's recent CT from an imaging center in New York, an MRI from a hospital in Connecticut, or an x-ray from an orthopedic practice in New Jersey, according to the company.
The vendor-neutral, cloud-based software combines a reindexing feature that enables remote Web-based image access with the advanced features and security of CoActiv's Exam-Vault archiving.
