Waiting period over for VRad, NightHawk merger

The Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period has terminated for teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic's proposed acquisition of NightHawk Radiology Services.

The transaction, valued at approximately $170 million, is expected to close late in the fourth quarter or early in the first quarter of 2011, according to Virtual Radiologic of Eden Prairie, MN, and NightHawk of Scottsdale, AZ.
