Foresight to show new mobile products

PACS technology developer Foresight Imaging of Chelmsford, MA, will show two new medical imaging products for mobile smartphones for the first time at the RSNA meeting in Chicago.

The first is TIMS Mobile DICOM, a mobile application designed to provide physicians and clinicians with the ability to view DICOM studies on their mobile smartphones. With TIMS Mobile DICOM, physicians can retrieve any DICOM study from PACS for review on their BlackBerry or iPhone.

The second TIMS Mobile product is the TIMS Mobile Consultant, a mobile application that enables physicians to view any live diagnostic imaging or surgical procedure on mobile smartphones.

In other news, Foresight has signed a deal for mVisum of Camden, NJ, to provide its OnDemand platform and related mobile imaging software technology exclusively to Foresight Imaging for use in all TIMS Mobile products.

mVisum, a privately held company, has developed a proprietary data handling technology that enables common communications systems to transmit and receive complex medical data in a rapid, secure manner that is compliant with HIPAA regulations.
