AFC to launch workstation at RSNA

Medical furniture developer AFC Industries plans to use the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago to launch Whitestone Workstation, a new image reading workstation.

Whitestone Workstation includes new AFC technologies such as an environmental heating and cooling system, digital readouts for surface height and monitor focal distance, and adjustable LED backlighting with a dimmer switch for radiologists who require Whitestone's acoustical privacy partition, which is affixed to the workstation.

The workstation also include features found on other AFC workstation products, such as electronic adjustment of work surface height from seated to standing position, work surface tilt within 15°, and electronically adjustable monitor height and focal distance.

AFC is offering Whitestone with a monitor arm that supports large monitors weighing up to 50 lb, to reflect the growing interest in viewing larger radiology images.
