Siemens wins U.K. PET/CT contract

Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany, has won a U.K. installation of its hybrid PET/CT unit.

Queen Alexandra Hospital, part of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, in Portsmouth, U.K., installed Siemens' Biograph mCT, a hybrid PET/CT unit that combines a high-definition PET platform and adaptive spiral CT, according to Siemens.

PETNet Solutions, a division of Siemens, supplies the Trust with MetaTrace FDG biomarker for use with the Biograph mCT, Siemens said.
