3DISC launches U.S. HQ, taps CEO

Computed radiography (CR) manufacturer 3DISC of Daejeon, Korea, has opened a U.S. headquarters and has named Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen as its president and CEO.

Smitt-Jeppesen previously led digital radiography vendor Imix Americas from its inception until its merger with Arcoma in early 2010. In her new role, Smitt-Jeppesen will direct 3DISC Americas' efforts in North, Central, and South America.

3DISC launched its FireCR system at the 2009 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
