Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems said it has received certification to assemble and service x-ray tubes in China.
The certification of the Beijing facility will allow Varian to support its growing customer base of x-ray equipment manufacturers and service organizations, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor. The China facility will use and support x-ray tube technology and imaging components developed at Varian's X-Ray Products headquarters in Salt Lake City.
