Varian installs TrueBeam in Zurich

Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems has implemented its image-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery TrueBeam system at University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland.

The facility began using the system clinically last month, with doctors delivering treatments for prostate and lung cancer, as well as schwannomas (benign nerve sheath tumors), brain, and spinal metastases, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor.
