peerVue updates qiVue software

Software developer peerVue of Burlington, VT, has released a new version of its qiVue regulatory, quality, and communication software.

The application's 6.0 release delivers enhanced communications features for the delivery and tracking of critical test results as required by the Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals. Real-time instant messaging (chat), notifications, and alerts ensure that ordering physicians receive critical results and nonroutine findings as quickly as possible and according to severity, peerVue said.

Version 6.0 also includes a drag-and-drop reporting package that enables users to create dynamic reports across the healthcare enterprise, enabling them to analyze data and create reports for metrics, including regulatory requirements for critical results turnaround time and radiologist peer review, and business performance reports that display exam volume, radiologist throughput, clinician referral patterns, and system health.

Three additional PACS integrations will be included in version 6.0, bringing the total number of qiVue integrated PACS applications to more than a dozen, according to the company.
