Allocade of Menlo Park, CA, has named Rick Smith as president and CEO.

Smith most recently served as senior vice president of global sales and marketing for the ultrasound business group of Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, and at Acuson before the company was bought by Siemens. Prior to Siemens/Acuson, he also served at Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, in a variety of senior management positions.
Allocade has developed On-Cue reflow technology software, which uses artificial intelligence to reallocate resources and manage patient flow in hospital departments such as radiology, surgery, and cardiology.
