NovaRad offers PET/CT fusion

RIS and PACS vendor NovaRad has added support for PET/CT fusion as part of its latest NovaPACS software upgrade.

NovaPACS will be able to display these images in CT, PET, and PET/CT-fused series, according to the American Fork, UT-based vendor. Each can be individually windowed and leveled and manipulated from within the same study, NovaRad said.

Other enhancements in the NovaPACS upgrade include the immediate assigning of critical values to a given image, study, or series, NovaRad said. These markings would also contain contact information for how the referring physician or facility has been contacted.
