NDS unveils new Dome displays at RSNA show

Display firm NDS Surgical Imaging unveiled two additions to its Dome line of displays at this week's RSNA conference in Chicago.

The Dome Z10 is a 30-inch, 10-megapixel grayscale display intended for use with all imaging modalities, but with a focus on mammography with side-by-side digital study comparisons. The Dome E3c High-Bright (E3cHB) 3-megapixel high-bright color display intended for use with color ultrasound, CT, MRI, computer-aided detection, and PET/CT fused images.

Both displays feature an open architecture design and are compatible with the new Dome Dashboard 2.0 software, a console application for centrally managing, controlling, and reporting on the displays. They also come with a new version of Dome CXtra software, which monitors, controls, and automatically adjusts DICOM calibration of the display to the desired luminance across all gray levels, according to the Jose, CA-based company.
