Enlyton reports PET agent research

Molecular imaging developer Enlyton said that a research study has found its antigen-directed PET imaging agent to be superior to F-18 FDG in PET imaging of colorectal cancer.

The study, published in the World Journal of Surgical Oncology, found that the firm's iodine-124-labeled HuCC49deltaCH2 for TAG-72 increasingly localized in colon adenocarcinoma tumor implants in xenograft mice. F-18 FDG, however, did not, according to Columbus, OH-based Enlyton.

Enlyton said it's currently raising capital to prepare its targeting agent for use in a phase I clinical trial.
