Siemens' Guardian adds molecular imaging

Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, is offering its Guardian service program for its molecular imaging systems.

The program is designed to monitor proactively and online the performance of installed imaging equipment on an ongoing real-time basis. If any problems develop, the system automatically informs the Siemens service center.

Siemens also launched TubeGuard for its Biograph mCT molecular imaging system. TubeGuard is an option of the Guardian program and is designed to predict potential CT tube failures.
