Endicott forms imaging unit

Endicott Interconnect Technologies has launched a detection and imaging systems business unit.

The division will be based at Endicott's Saxonburg, PA, facility, which designs, develops, and manufactures solid-state x-ray and gamma-ray detectors based on its cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) detection materials, electronics, and packaging technology, according to Endicott of Endicott, NY.

Endicott acquired the facility via its purchase of eV Products (since renamed eV Microelectronics) in June 2009. All of eV Microelectronics' research and development, sales, and manufacturing operations will become part of the detection and imaging systems division.
