NDS Surgical Imaging of San Jose, CA, has acquired Dome Imaging Systems, the medical business unit of Planar Systems of Waltham, MA.
Dome provides medical displays for diagnostic imaging and patient care applications to customers such as PACS vendors and medical IT resellers. NDS Surgical Imaging believes the combined entity will have the ability to connect the realms of PACS imaging and surgical video/informatics, said president and CEO John Murphy.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
