2008 11 07 15 20 42 981 Novarad Hit 2008NovaRIS/NovaPACS 7.1 includes features such as rapid scroll speeds, series hanging protocols, rapid viewing of large datasets, a new transcription module, floor/ER/OP scheduling, and preliminary listing of reports by referring physicians.

The software is Web-based and runs on an open-source platform to ensure seamless integration and to speed installation. It also includes several new hanging-protocol automated functions, such as a comparative and single-study display that enables two different hanging protocols to be viewed; series start in a cine, multiplanar reformat or other advanced format; and study duplication to ease manipulation and viewing in different windows or levels.

The software also includes six new features in the latest release. Customizable series display settings help radiologists designate a step-by-step image workflow according to their reading preferences, there is an easy click and reclick process for viewing one series in full screen and then returning to view the hanging protocol that was last used, and there are new controls for faster scrolling speeds, among other features.

NovaRIS/NovaPACS 7.1 also is available in Spanish and through an application service provider (ASP) model.
