U.S. Electronics gets clearance for new display

Display distributor U.S. Electronics has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for Totuku's CCL316 three-megapixel color LCD.

Intended for diagnostic reading of medical images in a full range of modalities, CCL316 has a 20.8-inch screen with support for 16.77 million colors, according to the Minneapolis-based vendor.

It also offers viewing angles of 170° in all directions, a 350:1 contrast ratio, and digital (DVI) video input; it can be used in both portrait and landscape modes, U.S. Electronics said.
