(Booth 2513) For women's imaging, Rochester, NY-based Carestream Health will showcase its work-in-progress DirectView CR Mammography feature, which adds mammography and CAD applications to its CR platforms.

2007 10 25 13 26 16 706Carestream's CAD for CR and full-field digital mammography is already available outside the U.S., and the company is awaiting U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance before beginning U.S. shipments. Images from the new platform will be printed with the company's new DryView 6800 laser imager.

The company also plans to highlight a digitizer for digital mammography that features automatic scanning of up to 50 films without operator intervention, and automatic retrieval of patient data from RIS networks.

Also in its booth, Carestream will display multimodality breast imaging workstations for mammography and general radiology exams on 5-megapixel monitors, as well as how these workstations are integrated with Cadstream software from Confirma of Bellevue, WA, for breast MRI exams and B-CAD software from Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario, for breast ultrasound.

Finally, the company will display mammography modules for Carestream PACS and Carestream RIS that include viewing tools for radiologists, as well as features that automate and personalize patient communication.
