Zonare debuts new ultrasound system

Zonare Medical Systems has introduced its new z.one ultra sp ultrasound system, targeted for point-of-care markets such as emergency medicine, interventional radiology, venous ablation, anesthesiology, and ob/gyn.

Based on Zonare's Zone Sonography technology, ultra sp features an enhanced intuitive user interface and can be converted from a full-featured, cart-based unit into a premium compact system with no loss of image quality or performance, according to the Mountain View, CA-based vendor. The system has a boot-up time of 15 seconds.

Zonare expects to begin shipping the z.one ultra sp system in the second quarter.
