Segall elected SNM president

The Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) has elected Dr. George Segall as the president of SNM for the next 12 months.

Dr. George Segall.
Segall serves as chief of nuclear medicine service at the Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. He is also a professor in the department of radiology at Stanford University.

Segall said he plans to work within the framework of healthcare reform to support and increase the appropriate use of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, as well as to advance education among the membership and promote the organization's outreach efforts.

The organization also announced that Frederic Fahey, DSc, director of physics in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging at Children's Hospital Boston and associate professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School, is president-elect of SNM.
